Bimini to Florida Paddle Event! “Crossing for A Cure”

I am participating in a 70-mile paddling event on June 16th, Father’s Day weekend (hence the paddle board on my car a lot these days)!

This event is sponsored by an incredible organization, Piper’s Angels. This group is trying to make the lives of people with Cystic Fibrosis better by raising awareness about the disease, and by working toward finding a cure.

We will be paddling from Bimini in the Bahamas to the east coast of Florida…..hoping to make landfall somewhere in the Boynton Beach area. We leave Bimini at 1:00 in the morning (yes, it will be dark), cross the Gulf Stream and arrive, hopefully, about 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday.

I am attaching links/videos below so you can see what this is all about. You can see our purpose, there is a link for making donations, AND, perhaps best of all, you can track our boards as we cross. Each board will have a GPS attached to it. Click here and you will see a button in the upper right hand corner called “Track the Crusaders.”

This will be quite the adventure, one that I am so proud to be a part of! I can actually hardly wait.
